As baptized Catholics, we aren't called to stand in church and cry out to God how wonderful we are.  We are called to serve the poor, to proclaim liberty to captives, to deliver justice to the oppressed.  We are called to be missionaries!  What's a missionary?  Simple: someone who makes a difference in the life of another.

Support.  We all need it.  So from whom do you get it, and to whom are you giving it?

All of us - whether we realize it or not - have a desire to belong.  All of us - whether we recognize it in others or not - are called to invite and include people in our communities.  As we meet the homeless person on the corner or welcome the child through Baptism, "we are all hungry people," and "we are gathered together as one in the Lord."

Caring for migrants.  Protecting the unborn.  Feeding hungry children.  Educating seminarians.  Repairing our cathedral.  Providing for our retired priests.  If we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can do anything, even command a tree to be uprooted and replanted in the sea!

Are we diggin' holes or buildin' bridges?  The answer will tell us where we're goin'!

If we want our relationship with God to work well, he can't be just a piece of our pie.  Giving only a part of ourselves to that partnership doesn't work.  We have to give our whole selves to God's plan!  That doesn't mean that we can't like other activities or building relationships with other people...those things are well and good too.  But if we want to have a good life here and hereafter, a solid relationship with God will require God being our first priority, the foundation of everything we are and do.

Are you lost?  That's alright.  Jesus is trying to find you, no matter what led you astray!

What dose your faith cost you?  If it doesn't cost you much, it probably isn't worth much!

Lord, it's hard to be humble and kind...at least when life is about me.  But, when life isn't about me....humility just becomes a way of life!

Usually being narrow-minded is a bad thing.  It chokes our relationships and creates discomfort between people.  But for the Christian, being narrow-minded might actually be a lifesaver!
